This is a solid reminder that leadership isn’t really built in the easy moments, it’s shaped by all the times you mess up and have to adjust. The part about preparing people instead of just focusing on equipment hits hard — that’s where most systems tend to fall short.
Also agree on the ego point. In real leadership situations, ego usually shows up right when things start going wrong.
