This episode was exciting, moving, motivational, and inspiring. Gunnery Sgt. LeHew was an excellent guest with knowledge and experience that I was privileged to listen to. You guys are killing it lately. Thanks for the guidance and motivation!!
I was Justin LeHew’s Corpsman during UNITAS XXXI, in South America. He was a badass then, and he’s a badass now. Great interview!
It’s hard to pick a best podcast, but this one is in the top ten. Thanks Gunny, you got it all done !
This interview has to be rated in my top two so far. So many awesome lessons and experiences. Thank you all for what you’re doing. ‘Rah
Love when you talk to our service men and women about their experiences in war and the reality of what was happening. Met a USMC LtCol Carr growing up who’s general badassery and conversations about his experience as a infantry platoon leader in Vietnam inspired me to join as well. Would love to hear some of his stories on the podcast, fist fighting a vietcong patrol who walked into his platoons foxholes in the dark, calling in a firemission on his own position as his platoon was overrun, general outlandish shenanigans that only occur in deep behind enemy lines.
How can I find the video they reference that the company clerk filmed?
That Phrog (CH-46) flight that came in (2:30:00) was from HMM-364 Purple Foxes and was flown by my friends, some of which are no longer here. Thank you for telling this story. Semper Fi Give A Shit.
