NIce podcast episode, as usual. It’s nice listening to some good talk, and I like y’alls voices. (In contrast, on some other podcasts I listen to, I do so because I like the guests, but I don’t care for the host’s voice.)
Regarding the “ecological” approach, you were misunderstanding it, I think. What makes something “ecological” is deeper and more abstract than “showing” vs. “doing,” which is not a fundamental distinction between “ecological” and other approaches.
If you are interested in knowing more, ask Dr. Gray at Arizona State (he has a podcast about the ecological approach, FYI; and he helps train some professional sports teams, if I understand correctly). Maybe you could have him as a guest on your podcast, or get on the podcast someone Dr. Gray might recommend.
You could also go to the source, and read some of the books and research papers of JJ Gibson (and his wife), who developed the ecological approach.

P.S. I could help you understand it a bit, too, if you are interested.
Great podcast episode, as always! I really enjoy listening to you both; your voices are pleasant to hear. Unlike some other podcasts, where I primarily tune in for the guests while not particularly liking the host’s voice, I genuinely appreciate yours.

Really enjoyed this episode—General Gray’s points on adaptability and problem-solving hit home. It reminded me of the way innovation works in technology today: in 3D printing, for example, you constantly need to adapt designs, materials, and techniques to overcome challenges and deliver results. That leadership mindset applies directly. I’ve been exploring this more at where 3D printing and precision tools help turn ideas into reality.
When writers share leadership ideas, separate quotes, or reader feedback, clear spacing and well-structured text make complex thoughts easier to follow and engage with. Our invisible text generator provides special Unicode blank characters that behave like real text while remaining visually invisible, allowing authors and commenters to insert clean breaks, separate sections, and format captions or lists without visible clutter.
In modern companies and growing brands, strong leadership often means creating systems and products that make people’s lives easier and more efficient. For example, businesses like Horizon Plus Trading focus “happy pets family vet
