I had the opportunity to meet Kirby back in 2011 at a work conference — I’m a submariner, not in NSW. I haven’t yet listened to podcast 193, but you mentioned Kirby Horrell as an older Navy SEAL, and I thought there’s probably only one Kirby in the SEAL community. He’s an outstanding human being, just from hearing and interacting with him during the two days we spent at an NSW conference.
Now that I’m thinking of it, I only occasionally listen to your podcast due to time constraints and I haven’t ever known anyone you’ve interviewed, but having Kirby on the podcast changes things.
First one on your podcast I heard. Teriffic! Plan on listening to more.
Uncle Kirby as I know him is an amazing man. Kirby and my cousin Bob served as SEALS together in the Early 70’s. Both exceptional men. I am proud to have them in my life.
