Another fantastic podcast. Thank you!
Hugo From Montreal. Great podcast, thank you for exposing those stories and sharing those informations about leadership. I’m 26, I’ve always wondered why I was not understood by some people in companies. At some point I thought I was dumb and other point, intelligent. Now, I just learned About the concept of cognitive abilities and emotional intelligence. It’s something I was feeling within me but could not express into words. Thank you guys, I look forward to read this book – thank you for your service, it seems in fact you guys never stop serving.
P.s. Jocko, I relate to your trauma remark. I experimented an intensive trauma event in my 20s which changed my perspective of things
Unbelievable. Interviewing these amazing warriors is a great way to preserve history for future generations.
I wanted to thank you for your podcast. It has been nice to hear first hand from the men of macv/sog. These men have been my heroes since I was a kid. I am not sure if he is still alive but if he is it would be great to get Lynne Black on the show. Thanks again.
Please keep grabbing these Sog warriors for interviews – their stories are unbelievably amazing and courageous
Dick Thompson should get the Medal of Honor for dropping out of the helicopter to get the SOG team and aircraft crews out. His award should be upgraded. Tilt and Dick are true heroes that deserve accolades.
Absolutely incredible. Thank you very much gentlemen.
I agree with Jim—I have never heard a war story on the level of Dick’s R&R expedition(s). His pure skill as a fighter and (relatively!) clear thinking under pressure obviously saved both those helicopter crews.
Currently going through the Vietnam series of podcasts and finding it inspiring to say the least. I know I’m late, but could anyone please tell me what book is Jocko reading from in this one and #204? Is it Thompson’s “Stress effect”?
Where can I find the full read of the document Jocko was reading from for pts 1&2?
These stories could easily be made into a Netflix series. Jocko if you have any connections in Hollywood please make this happen. I’ve listened to all of these podcasts several times. Just incredible.
