I want a picture of that card.
I waited until all three were released to write anything. Not since Dr. Jordan Peterson have been so engrossed by a guest. He’s like a later day Renaissance Man. A warrior, a scholar, a writer. Geez!!! I felt like Wayne & Garth…”I’m not worthy!” Per usual, now I have YET ANOTHER book coming to my home. My wife is going to kill me because I have probably a dozen books that I haven’t read yet. I’m currently working on “Once An Eagle” by Anton Myrer. Again, I blame you because after I read “Call Sign Chaos” by Gen. Jim Mattis. I had to look up some of his favorite reads…and there I was…a whole other list.
I wish to thank Dr. Dick Thompson for his service to the country and for his continues leadership. Men like him and you, Jocko, have so much to share that ACTUALLY means something. Whether in the civilian sector or, like me, in Law Enforcement, I learn and become better. Thank you again.
On the warpath.
I’m from Brazil and have been listening to your podcasts for few months now and, first of all, I’d like to congratulate and thank you for the great work you’ve been doing. Your words have been helping me a lot in bridging my gaps in leadership and professional conduct as a whole.
The last three episodes were wonderful, not only for the wise words on the effects of stress on decision making and leadership, but also for the awe inspiring stories of your guest. They certainly make us look at things from a whole new perspective.
Thank you for the opportunity to listen to these stories.
Jocko – “I like JuJutsu, I like war”
THIS is why I love this podcast……..GET SOME!!!
The moment he mentioned that Dick Meadows wanted him for that special assignment, he turned him down only to realize later he missed out on being a founding member of delta force – it broke my heart. Maybe I got that wrong but I think I heard the dissapointment in his voice. It would be very interesting to hear Jocko’s and Echo’s impression of that but it’s rather unlikely they find time to read this and respond.
