As an old Miramar fighter pilot…. this is an incredible podcast. THANK YOU!
After your interview with Rose Schindler this is one of the best podcasts I have heard. Absolutely amazing. That could have gone on for another 4 hours and I would have hung to every word. Well done and hats off to the legend Dan Pederson.
Agreed!!!
Well I’m 9 weeks behind in podcasts. Not because I got derailed from the path. Actually opposite…my workload is insane right now. Working full time and grad school full time hasn’t left much time to listen to these. I tried to listen to these while I work but focus always gets shifted and cant divide it. When it comes to working out I just want to blast something and get it.
I have a week off from grad work coming up. So I’ll try to get some r&r from working 80+ hr work weeks and listen to a few of these.
Probably wont hear much from me again for another 18+ weeks. I’ll be starting my gig at ONR full time and will have over lap in my next two courses. I might get a week off and then start my thesis which will cary me through the holidays.
Second thought.. I was considering getting a membership at your gym when everything opens back up.
….but 6am opening time might not work. That’s about the time I want to be done and hitting the shower to get ready for work. Sooo…
One the best podcasts ever, what example manhood, character, humility, top of class leadership, courage as a life commitment and shared to elevate others; loved it and God bless Dan, his family, his Bro’s, and you and your team, thank you!
Love the podcast. I thank every military person who served . Great podcast . I’m in Texas I’m very blessed to hear your stories. Thank you Jocko . Trump 2020
I never served but I’m thankful too all that have. Thank you for these radical stories it gives us civilians understanding of what you guys do. Thank you for freedom .
I’ve listened to tons of Jocko podcasts, never commented. I felt obliged to comment on this one. I think this podcast was Jocko’s Magnum Opus. Extraordinary. Well done.
This podcast was fantastic, thank you for doing it. I love it so much I bought the book.
Best…Podcast…EVER. Both Dan and Dave’s descriptions of carrier operations was dead on, especially the part about sewing machine legs. I got them on my first cat shot in a T-2 Buckeye off of the Lexington off Pensacola and several times thereafter. I laughed so hard when they mentioned it.
Dan’s career mirrored my fathers who was also a fighter pilot and ships captain. These guys will always be my heroes. I was so proud to have been part of Naval Aviation with men like Dan and Dave. What an honor. What a podcast!!
Great podcast, as usual, thanks team.
Pity the tonkin incident was a false flag op. Countless lives lost, for what?
Wow, what a fantastic podcast as usual of course. Yank was tremendous and your guests just are incredible. And thank you Good Deal Dave for being there as well.
Terrific book and podcast covering it! Both brought great enjoyment and lessons learned from a different perspective. I was a naval fighter jet maintainer, wow 15 years ago and it’s awesome to learn more about different eras and more from the pilots perceptive. Not sure how to say, “Thanks” to Yank personally, but I’m grateful for him sharing his stories with me and you all for having him on the podcast!
Dan Pederson hosts this podcast that many people are interested in.
