Good evening Echo.
You’ll messing with me! I’m now down to one word in my house… I low rumbly “check”… Honey did you…? “Check,” dad can I…? “Check,” please pass the mashed potatoes… “Check.”
To make matters worse I now Look forward to the end of the podcasts were echo and Jocko interact more. I know this is true because I find myself sitting up straight, head tilted, left hand covering my mouth, sweating a little, as echo speaks… a comma, a comma, a comma again, I am still following… please please give me a period!! Suddenly, like an Olympic Curler (the ones with a broom on the ice), Jocko guides Echo in for a smooth landing…
Thank you for this podcast. I really appreciate them all. My “sphere of influence” is relatively small. I work hundred hour weeks in the oil field in South Texas and my wife homeschools our five kids. These podcasts give me a different perspective and are like spears penetrating my groundhog day. I love finding that three hour one that I missed. They all have such great nuggets of wisdom, motivation, and knowledge. Hey, my oldest is 18 and, just this week, got an appointment to Annapolis. Believe you me- that’s not supposed to happen to people like us. Thanks!!
An interesting listen for sure, lost me when he categorized weed as a gateway drug. I feel like someone with that experience could have a better idea of people using pills and other substances that have lead to their more aggressive addictions. Just my opinion, I love the podcast and both you guys questions. Dude is an absolute unit and definitely inspirational.
Weed is a gateway drug for many and that is a fact. Most don’t go from drinking to cocaine or pills. They usually try weed, and some stop there. Many move on to other things. I would consider alcohol a gateway drug too in all honesty. Joe doesn’t give a rip about it though. He is a close friend as are several DEA and FBI. They are concerned with the following; prescription analogues, heroin, crack and meth. The rest is not a factor. Joe is a great human being and is a guy who never complains about what he has lost. He lives his life fully and more should look on that part of this message. Love the guy like family and see him often. Joe will change the world for the better.
