Hello,
I’ve been listening to jocko podcast for a few weeks now and thoroughly enjoy the messages on leadership/ followership, etc. I’m particularly interested in the jujitsu aspect to “the path” and had a few questions seeking advice on how to best proceed.
Just some background on myself, I was an Air Force pilot for 9 years, separated from active duty and currently fly with the airlines. If I get injured or sick in any way, I cannot fly, and subsequently won’t get paid. The reason I tell you that is because my job is highly dependent on my physical health and ability to be in the flight deck.
Having said that, I would love to start getting involved with jujitsu and was wondering how to do that without getting injured to the point of not being able to fly. Are there jujitsu training programs/gyms out there that would “go easy” on me so to speak, knowing that my career depends upon my body being fully in tack? If not, are there other training avenues you would recommend I pursue that would replicate a learning environment similar to jujitsu without the potential for physical injuries?
Funniest episode yet! Makes me want to train BJJ even more…
If Dean saying “Dichotomy” ismt the highlight of this episode then I doubt you even listened. Loved it.
