I truly enjoyed this podcast with Gary Sinise. He’s just an honest to God good man. He is reminiscent of Danny Thomas and his work establishing St. Jude’s. It was definitely time well spent. It always amazes me when Jocko and Echo have a guest on that is so amazing that the time just flies by. Thanks to Mr. Sinise for giving his time and thanks to Jocko and Echo for another stellar book review. Yet another book that will be on my table in queue. My fiancee is going to lose her ever loving mind. Ah well. GOOD…sorta.
My late husband was a fan of Gary .. He was a artist that deaicated a veteran park in honor of his uncle and father which served in World War 2 and Korean war.. Unfortunately my husband ended his life last year .. I would love to give his scuptures to any Veterans organization to help suicide prevention and families that suffer the tragedy.. Please reach out to me for more details
God Bless
Sandy
Never had a clue that Gary Sinise had done so much for wounded vets and servicemen. Amazing. Humble guy for sure. I’ve always admired him as an actor but like him even more knowing all that he has done – makes me feel lazy in comparison. Great interview – wonder if Gary knew going in that he was going to have a 4.5 hour marathon session! Well done all around.
Another awesome and enlightening podcast. Thank you Gary Sinise for being such a great American and thank you Jocko and Echo for your continued stellar work.
There are no words that can sufficiently praise you both for what you are doing. I too live by my favorite quote from Roman Senator Marcus Tullius Cicero in 55 BC – “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but is the parent of all others”. And I am grateful we have men like you. Thank you, thank you, from Jess USMC 1955 to 1961.
I first hear Jocko on Dan Bongino’s podcast and was intrigued by his story. I quickly searched for his podcast. Fast forward to here and this is where I landed, the Gary Sinese interview. First off Jocko thank you for your past and present service. Gary’s life drew a close parallel to mine and I was sucked in for 4 hrs. Also the rhythm of these interviews is absolutely effective. Pauses to reflect on the weight of the moment. Of which there are many. Internalization, reflection, application all happening simultaneously. Thank you Jocko for seeking out truly helpful and meaningful interviews w/ people the world needs to get to know and learn from. Thanks again, Terry Smith
I really enjoyed this podcast episode. Gary Sinise is a truly inspirational person, and his work with the Gary Sinise Foundation is incredible.
