I disagree with DVOs position on masks. Masks are to protect others and not only yourself. By not wearing a mask (at that time), he was putting others at risk. So, while the LEGAL justification for mask mandates may not have been there, I think there is also a MORAL obligation not to needlessly endanger others.
Thank you for an interesting interview. It is good to get some insight on why so many vets feel the call to run for office. I wouldn’t say Mr. Van Orden and I see many issues the same way, but totally respect his position on being representative of all the people in his district. I appreciated him making it clear that he will not tolerate political violence against fellow Americans as a means to and end.
One request for you Jocko. When you are interviewing political candidates or currently serving office holders, could you please bring up the topic of appropriate funding of veterans programs as well as, how they would improve training and living conditions for actively serving military? Thanks
This forum’s article is excellent and quite beneficial to me. I enjoyed reading your post.
